Update #1: We received a phonecall at 2:59am from someone who said that he doesn’t send faxes to us at 3 in the morning. And the phone number I called on Tuesday is no longer working. Interesting.
So in the past two months, we go through these seasons where someone tries to send us a fax at 3:30am, then again at 4:30am, and again at 5:30am. Sometimes this is a nightly ritual, and sometimes we don’t get anything from them for two weeks. We know it’s a fax machine because of the beeping on the other end of the line, but we had no way to intercept that fax. I tried *69 them, but it didn’t work.
But today, I finally caught them. I had set up the fax machine (in anticipation), and they called. I quickly intercepted the fax. It’s fax spam. Nothing. So I called the company and I… you can use your imagination on what I said. If you want to guess, feel free. But before you judge me, ask yourself what would you do if you were in my shoes?
I pray for a good night’s sleep tonight. Oh Lord, please silence my enemies!
