Part of me resonates with Obama's point that not talking with other nations doesn't do much. On the other side, I know that for whatever reason, the access to talking with another nation's officials is the currency of diplomacy. So I could see Clinton's point as well. Clinton seemed to have a better grasp on the way the international scene works, but Obama voiced my desire that it work differently.
