Thanks for visiting my blog, Serving Bread. Here you'll read stories, insights, reflections and ramblings from a campus minister, father, husband and Jesus-follower. If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to the RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
I serve with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at Cal State Northridge, where my wife and I are raising our little girl (born August 2005) and son (born February 2008).
Serving Bread is my blog and online presence. The title is a derivative of the family name ‘Ekmekji’. Though I’m Armenian, the name is Turkish. ‘Ekmek’ means Bread and ‘Ji’ means man. Our ancestors apparently served bread or were bakers.
Additionally, one of the most extravagant ways that Jesus ministered to the crowds was by serving bread. He served bread on the grassy hills (by feeding 5000). He served bread in the desert (by feeding 4000). And he broke and served bread at his last meal.
